1. What cookies are
Cookies are small data files stored by a website or service in your browser. Similar technologies can use local storage, pixels, tags or server-side identifiers to support security, preferences and measurement.
2. Essential and release-control cookies
PONGO may use essential cookies needed for security, routing or private release review. The current private Canary review flow uses an HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax cookie named pongo_canary. It is set only after an authorised activation and expires after 24 hours, or earlier when disabled.
3. Analytics technologies
On the public production domains, the website loads Google Tag Manager container GTM-MGV5VDFD. Google Analytics tags run only after you separately allow Google analytics in Measurement preferences. Declining does not block resource delivery or enquiries. Limited campaign source parameters are retained for up to 30 days; names, emails, form contents and raw ad click references are excluded from our Google event payloads. Tag Manager helps deliver measurement tags; the specific tags configured through it may collect page, device, referral and interaction information and may set their own cookies. Local previews do not load this production container.
OpenAI ad measurement
If you allow optional OpenAI ad measurement, PONGO loads the OpenAI Measurement Pixel to measure page visits and consultation requests successfully saved to our CRM. Declining does not prevent you from submitting a consultation request. Resource delivery consent is separate. The updated optional measurement choice also covers retaining the OpenAI ad click reference for a requested resource in a separate expiring record for 30 days. Old measurement choices do not authorize this new resource-attribution record. The request and email queue contain only the measurement choice and copy version, not the raw click reference. You can change your choice using Ad measurement preferences.
The Pixel uses first-party cookies, including __oppref (up to 30 days) and __obref (up to 365 days), to support attribution. Where automatic advanced matching is enabled, the Pixel may detect contact information entered on the website, normalize it and send SHA-256 hashes to OpenAI; raw contact details are not included in our analytics event payloads. Declining measurement prevents Pixel event transmission and clears its measurement cookies.
With your permission, PONGO also retains limited campaign source parameters and landing-page context for up to 30 days to connect a later enquiry with its source. These attribution values may be retained alongside the enquiry in our CRM. Reporting can be incomplete when measurement is declined or blocked.
4. Third-party links
Opening WhatsApp, TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook or another external service takes you to that provider. The provider may use its own cookies or tracking technologies under its own policy. PONGO does not control those technologies.
5. Your controls
- Use browser settings to view, block or delete cookies.
- Use device or browser privacy controls to limit cross-site tracking where available.
- Blocking essential cookies may affect secure routing or private review functionality.
- Use Ad measurement preferences to allow or decline optional OpenAI measurement; use the separate Google analytics choice to allow or decline website analytics.
